How to use IttyUrl.net:
The easiest way to use IttyUrl.Net is to add our bookmarklet to your Favorites /
Bookmarks. You can find it at the right of most pages, the link reads "Ittify It!".
Just right-click on this in IE and choose "Add to favorites". You can safely ignore
the script warning. In other browsers you should be able to drag this to your Bookmarks.
Now, whenever you are on a page that you want to "Ittify", you can click this bookmarklet
and it will automatically take you to our "Add Url" page with the information prefilled
in. Just add any custom tags (search keywords) you want to have included
and click the "Shorten My Url" button. Our application will spider the target page,
bringing back keywords, and store all the information. If you have created a user account and
are logged in, this will also be stored in your personal custom links list.
If you do not see the short url in the gray area, press the button again and it
should appear. You can also check the "Recent Links" page and your link should appear
at the top of the list.
It is important to understand that IttyUrl.Net is a social bookmarking site, so
any page you bookmark will be public and available to see by others. By sharing
tags, users can see similar pages and sites that share the same tag words.
Once your Ittified url is spidered, the gray area on the Add Url page will show
a link that comprises the "ittyurl" short url, and you can put this on your bookmarks
or favorites or use it as a link on your website or blog. All requests for
this ittyurl are logged so that it is possible for users to come to the IttyUrl.Net
site and look at the count of how many times each ittified url has been clicked.
You can also use our IttyUrl.net Webservice API, either with a standard SOAP
message, or with HTTP GET request. Here is an example of an HTTP GET request to the API,
missing the optional username parameter:

If you provide a valid username, your Ittified Url will be tracked for you in
your personal URLs list. Ittified URLs that already existing in the system are
not duplicated. You will still receive back the IttyUrl short url if you submit
a duplicate long url. The response XML returns the Ittified Url and the page
title.
You can use our "Search TAGS" formlet at the top right of IttyUrl.net to search all
Keywords and titles of all stored links (yours and those stored by others).
You can use IttyUrl.net for any legitimate purpose except spam / scam sites or pornographic
material. We do not accept gambling related, hate sites, MFA advertising
and similar sites. Be advised that any such unauthorized links are subject to being removed
without notice.
Currently IttyUrl.net is focused on Links relating to the Microsoft Silverlight
offering, but you can use the service for any legitimate url in accordance with
our Terms of Service detailed on the main page.
